On February 2, the opening of the sewage treatment facilities (purification plants) was held upon completion of the work on modernization and capacity expansion of the first order. The opening ceremony was attended by Alexander Dvoinykh, Head of the Domodedovo Administration, Olga Dmitrieva, General Director of Coalco Development, Dmitri Kuprikov, Director of Domodedovsky Vodokanal Municipal Unitary Enterprise, Alexander Shapovalov and Igor Kolobov, representatives of the Administration of the Domodedovo Urban District, Yuri Dremov, Deputy of the Council of Deputies of the Domodedovo Urban District, and other officials.

The red ribbon symbolizing the opening of the purification plants was cut by Olga Dmitrieva, General Director of Coalco Development, and Alexander Dvoinykh, Head of the Domodedovo Administration.

Pursuant to the strategy of establishment and development of the infrastructure of the Greater Domodedovo Project, construction and commissioning of modern purification plants permits to intake drainage of more than 50 buildings, infrastructure facilities and a retail center situated in Novoye Domodedovo (New Domodedovo), Gorod Schastya (City of Happiness) and Southern Domodedovo neighborhoods.

New purification plants are needed for sewage disposal. They are equipped with German-made Hyber treatment facilities for rough mechanical and biological purification and additional UV treatment. Excessive mud is dried up and taken to a special landfill. All the jobs carried out by NadoTrans LLC, a contractor, were carried out under the construction and technological supervision on the part of Domodedovsky Vodokanal MUE.
 
"Due to commissioning of residential neighborhoods, we, as the project developer, faced the objective of providing them with all the required engineering network utilities and modern purification plants meant for domestic waste water treatment. The first order is ready. To raise the efficiency of purification plants when people move in and new neighborhoods are built we start designing the second order of purification plants with the capacity of up to 12,500 cubic meters a day", said Olga Dmitrieva, General Director of Coalco Development. 

"At present, it often happens that developers build expensive facades of buildings, commission high quality housing, but save money on network utilities", commented Alexander Dvoinykh. “President Vladimir Putin has set the objective to take a responsible approach to the year of ecology. Drainage treatment is an important component of the environmental care. It is really good that the new neighborhood is provided with a high-quality and modern ecosystem."
